July 5	Park Avenue Pub opened.
	The Country Club of Rochester hosted the United States Women's Open Championship.
	Green Acre Fruit Farms opened.
	The Mercury statue reappeared in the Rochester skyline atop the Aqueduct Building.
	Nazareth College became a co-ed school.
	Nancy Kress moved to Rochester.
	Two of the three Alphabet Murders occurred.
	The Penny Arcade opened.
	Krakow, Poland became a sister city.
	Lincoln First Bank building completed. Now known as Chase Tower
	Jewish Community Center moved to its Edgewood location.
	Strong Museum construction started.
