A Different Point of View is a gift and woman's clothing and accessories store located in Pittsford, close to 590 (exit 2B, Monroe Avenue). They carry everything from Vera Bradley to Eileen Fisher as well as Kate Spade and Brighton Leather Accessories. They are located on the corner of Clover Street and Monroe Avenue in the Clover View Plaza.

2012-05-27 08:55:37   I've been here twice. Once with a friend who lives in Pittsford and is well known and well respected locally, and the service was fantastic. Yesterday, a friend from out of town and I went in after getting massages and shopping at other Pittsford-only shops. The icy reception we received was noted and we were treated as if we were suspicious and might throw something in our bags (which are Kate Spade, a brand they sell). We walked around and nearly tripped over the number of employees (9) who were milling around watching us. We asked to see a few thing in a case and it was as if we had asked for them to go get us a sandwich at Wegmans...shock, surprise, and finally "I suppose I can show you something. What do you want to see, *hmph*? Ridiculous. We were professionally dressed, with nothing to indicate we might rob the place at gunpoint. I'm sure they cater to a certain clientele, I guess two courteous professionals with advanced degrees don't fit their profile. Sad to say but never again. —ShawnaLusk
