Andrews Street is a main thoroughfare on the north side downtown. Traveling east, it begins at State Street on the west side of the Genesee River, in the Four Corners neighborhood. It then crosses the Andrews Street Bridge. At St. Paul Street it passes through the St. Paul-North Water Streets Historic District and a small but lively entertainment district known as the St. Paul Quarter. It enters the St. Joseph's Park Neighborhood at North Clinton and eventually meets North Chestnut Street/North Street, where it turns into University Avenue.

The only remains of Front Street run north from Andrews just on the west side of the river.
