Barakah Muslim Charity (BMC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization that was founded in Rochester in 2013. The purpose of Barakah Muslim Charity Inc. is to provide social services to the broader community of upstate New York, serving both Muslims and non-Muslims, irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, or creed. We will fulfill our objectives by providing community services including, but not limited to food, clothing, and financial assistance to underprivileged families.

Over the course of our 7+ years of existence, we have hosted recurring monthly mobile pantries and food distributions and have hosted, sponsored or co-sponsored food drives, clothing drives, weekly soup kitchens, school backpack drives, toy drives, Ramadan food basket distributions, medical screening clinics, Milati Islam (addiction recovery) services, and refugee relief services. We also offer counseling, Zakat distribution and private consultations for needful individuals and families in regards to food, clothing, housing and other necessities.

BMC Headquarters are in Genesee-Jefferson.

Foodlink Food distributions occur every first Saturday of the month from 1 PM to 3 PM. It is recommended that those in need arrive at least 1 hour prior to beginning of distribution and bring a carry-all or handcart to transport foodstuffs from the building.
