Beads ‘N Things is a specialty bead and jewelry shop located in Northfield Common in the Village of Pittsford that provides beads, custom beaded jewelry, jewelry repair, and private beading instruction.
The business was established in the Village of Pittsford near the Erie Canal in 1968. Over the years, the store transitioned from a bead shop in the 60’s and 70’s, to a bead & craft shop selling thousands of rolls of ribbons, grapevine wreathes, cross-stitch materials, etc., during the 1980’s. The most recent owners purchased the shop in 1984 and, after a decade of selling crafts and beads, the shop was converted back to its origins of the 60’s and 70’s... into a full-service bead.
Beads 'N Things stocks beads from across the country and around the world including seed beads; Czech glass and vintage German beads; semi-precious stones; Swarovski crystals; wood beads; freshwater pearls, sterling silver and gold-filled beads along with large assortment of high quality sterling and gold-filled findings. Finished jewelry is available for purchase and is personally hand-crafted by the shop owners. The shop also carries a wide array of instructional books from the beginner to advanced beading levels.
