The first-ever BoulderFest, from the good folks at Boulder Coffee Co., was held August 19th and 20th, 2006. While this festival (the first festival focused on the South Wedge) included the usual arts & crafts vendors, its emphasis on local artists and musicians provided a fun weekend. The festival took place in the backyards of the area's residents (by permission!), rather than on the hot asphalt all-too-often afflicting other area festivals.
BoulderFest 2007 will take place July 27-29, 2007. 30+ bands and vendors—more info to come.
