2008-12-22 16:16:37   Bristol has all the man-made snow and icy runs you expect from an East Coast hill (sorry, Bristol is no mountain) at an exorbitant price. For my money and time, I'd rather spend it at place like Holiday Valley in Ellicotville. —BatGuano

2008-12-26 13:43:53   It gets icy sometimes but they do a great job considering the weather they have to work with. They are a bit expensive. But it is only 40 minutes away from downtown. I think we are lucky to have skiing so close to home. I love going to Bristol, even when it is icy, there is usually good pockets of snow to be found. —BadFish

2009-01-16 18:57:56   BadFish... Maybe I let my past experience working at Bristol color my review. I admit, Southern Cross (while not a difficult run) is one of funnest runs I've ever been on... there were always so many little things to find and hit. —BatGuano

2009-02-26 11:38:50   I was speaking with an employee at Bristol and there is a rumor that in the next year or so, they are going to revamp the main lodge and make it look like a ski lodge, with couches and fireplaces, etc. Another rumor I heard—this one from another skier so I would put less credence behind this one—is that they are looking to cut down trees an open new runs. The person said they may also be moving the terrain park and make it better. —BadFish
