IMHO, the best bagels in town. Their Challah is the best

2007-03-30 18:57:16   this place is great . . . I've had the bagels here and also an occasional pastrami sandwich. . . but, they are kosher, which means I always have to ask them to give me the cheese separately — I add it to my sandwich once I get to my car. —GrahamSaathoff

2010-06-28 04:58:54   I had some day old bagels from a local grocery store yesterday, wishing I had gone to brownsteins haha, my fondest memory of brownstiens is when my dad would bring home a big bag of day old bagels, first i'd eat them with cream cheese. then when we ran out of that (which in a household of 5 kids and two parents happens quickly) I'd eat them plain, and just take about 10 minutes enjoy the real taste of each bagel. thats the difference of brownstiens, you don't have to toast theses bagel, you don't have to add anything to them if you don't want to. these bagel are the best bagels in town period. —barnabasschickling
