Brownstein's Deli & Bakery is a bagel shop and deli on Monroe Avenue.
Brownstein's carries salmon cream cheese and offers 15 bagels for the price of 12.
Bialys are not New York City style. Their garlic bagels do have a lot of garlic on them. Closes early, cash only. Kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Henry Hyman.

2007-03-25 07:39:17 Best bagels in Rochester. It amazes me that all of those crappy imposters a stone's throw away from Brownstein's get any business at all. —RochesterGuy
2007-03-26 18:12:11 Brownsteins sells its frozen dough to O'Bagelos. —KimBee

2007-03-30 18:57:16 this place is great . . . I've had the bagels here and also an occasional pastrami sandwich. . . but, they are kosher, which means I always have to ask them to give me the cheese separately — I add it to my sandwich once I get to my car. —GrahamSaathoff
2007-09-27 14:11:37 Bialy's are the best I have had in town. They make a blueberry bagel that actually tastes like a blueberry bagel should. —MrPhil
2007-11-08 14:49:04 The best bagels in Rochester. I wish something could compare to H and H or Bagel Boss in the NYC metro, this is the closest thing. Request the potato Kugel or Knish. Always good. —MrRochester
2008-03-31 19:11:19 Hands down the best bagels in Rochester. —RocGuy14610
2009-01-08 11:48:04 No question, they have the best bagels I've tasted in Rochester. I've tried 6 other places, and none measure up. Also, the scallion cream cheese is superb —DavidPerlmutter
