2008-01-30 21:48:49   I absolutely love Brueggers. I try to avoid too many carbs but love to splurge now and then with a bagel and light cream cheese only from Brueggers. I’ve tried most of the other bagel places and really don’t enjoy the bagels or the cream cheese. I will say that Wegmans does a good job, but sometimes you just don’t want to deal with the crowded areas and shoppers there. Brueggers has a great variety of fabulous soups too. I love the make your own salads but wish they had light salad dressing. —RochesterPhoenix

2008-02-21 11:04:12   I love Bruegger's. Especially considering it's a chain, I've never had a bad experience and I eat there quite often. I may not know "real" bagels, but Bruegger's is a great substitute and a nice place to have lunch. —SaraChristine

2008-02-29 03:03:41   The bagels are best in sandwich form. The veggie bagel sandwhich is WONDERFUL. Also last time I checked they have fair trade coffee (at least one). —EllaBeeney

2008-12-08 09:31:21   For chain bagels, Brueggers isnt horrible. The only good bagels are from NYC, but Brownsteins on Monroe Ave comes the closest in ROC. Brueggers is a better chain bagel than companies like Manhattan Bagel and Einstein Bros. —MrRochester

2009-10-28 19:52:14   For about one month I went here regularly and the staff picked up on my daily order quickly (within a couple of visits). That being said, this place is my last choice for breakfast in the Mt. Hope/East Henrietta zone. The staff makes me feel uncomfortable but I can't really put my finger on the reason why. Maybe it's because I sense that they deeply hate being there and pumping coffee out to zombified patrons. I don't know.. the vibe in the place is just odd. Give me Rosey at DD's any day. —BatGuano

2010-07-12 16:49:11   Well, our family loves Bruegger's food, but yesterday we got some pretty bad service at PenFair Plaza. We walked in and my husband and I ordered bagels, daughter a sesame asian salad. "Amanda" actually rolled her eyes and said reluctantly "....okay...." like it was a huge bother to prepare a salad. Well, we got to the table and daughter states salad is wrong, Amanda made a caesar. Great. My husband goes back up to the counter and orders (did not ask for a replacement or mention the error) the asian sesame salad. "Amanda" gives a big sigh and says "Won't that be fun." My husband retorted "Then why don't you take it off the menu, if it's such a bother? You made the first one wrong, I'm willingly paying for a second, why don't you just make it without complaint?!" Amanda disappeared to the back room with a very large drink. She actually sipped it and chatted with the guy in back while customers piled up at the counter. Every table was filthy and there was trash overflowing. Perhaps if Amanda did her job and had a smidge of a work ethic, the PenFair Bruegger's would be more pleasant and clean. The Fairport store is speedy and tidy, we'll be heading there from now on. —LisaRuns

2010-07-14 16:33:38   I have been in contact with the local district manager. She is very concerned over issues expressed to her by myself. She has requested anyone with concerns over any local Bruegger's store call her directly: Marilee Richards / 223-6790-ext 475 / mrichards@brueggers.comPeteB

2011-04-28 08:36:08   If you want to pick your breakfast up off a filthy sidewalk, visit the Monroe Avenue/Goodman Street location. The door only opens 75% of the way and then rebounds in your face and you drop everything that you're carrying to try to stay upright. Great job, Brueggers! —DanielPenfield

2011-10-15 08:10:05   Brueggers is gross. Overpriced, overly dense and the bagels taste like white bread. People who love these bagels should try to eat at some of the smaller shops around town who sell homemade bagels, you'll never go back to this factory-restaurant again. —jberna

2012-07-28 07:47:08   I was happy when moving into Rochester area there is a Brueggers. As I like Brueggers bagels. I do not go during peak times but go normally in off hours to get some for the week. The customer service has been good for the 3 different locations I been in. One of the locations I did receive better customer service. —bonnev659
