The Buffalo Bills are the closest NFL team to Rochester. The Bills hold their summer training camp at St. John Fisher College here in Rochester. Like NFL teams in other parts of the world, they have good years and bad years. Unlike NFL teams in other parts of the world, they haven't really had much in the way of "good years" since the OJ Curse plagued the club, following the former running back's well-known debacle back in 1994.
The Bills are currently rebuilding, having fired Coach Dick Jauron mid-season 2009 and hired General Manager Buddy Bix and new Coach Chan Gailey.
The primary focus through the off-season is looking for a reliable Quarterback and Offensive Line.
