The "Charlieburger."
Charlie Riedel's has been serving charlieburgers since 1969.
Charlie Riedel's is a family diner/grill with three locations in the Rochester area. It's specialty is the Charlieburger - a hamburger with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a poppy seed bun.
The Empire Boulevard location has a lot of indoor seating, and a small dining area outside with umbrellas.

2008-07-28 13:44:59 Very busy on a Friday night - we could barely find an open table (and there are a lot of seats at the Empire Blvd location). I do like the Charlieburger, with it's shredded lettuce, provolone, and poppy seed roll. Cheeseburgers here are $1.99 - that's tough to beat. —ZachSmalt

2009-01-31 16:04:59 I don't know what it is but I love the Empire Boulevard location (even though I was highly disappointed with my last visit). It's a cozy, warm atmosphere and the food is (almost always) totally satisfying. Last time we went, however, I was disappointed as they made their hot sauce too hot. The spiciness overpowered the rest of the flavors in my garbage plate and I threw most of my plate out. We'll go back, though. I'll just forgo slathering everything with the hot sauce. —BatGuano
