Credit Unions are Cooperative Banks, and they manage capital on behalf of the account holders, who are the owners of the institution. Credit Unions have some advantages to banks, mostly based on reducing overhead because there are no outside investors taking profits from the organization. Rochester offers some exceptional credit unions because of successful local big business.
