Since mid 1995, Custom BrewCrafters has been elevating the Rochester area by lowering our inhibitions and making our vision not so clear through the production of wonderful wonderful delicious life affirming ale. Decide for yourself on the quality of their custom brews: free tours are offered Saturdays and Sundays at 1PM, 2PM, 3PM, and 4PM, and you can sample 6 beers for $3 (and get $2 off your take-home beer purchase if you become smitten).
Custom specializes in producing beers that are sold by bars and restaurants as "house beers" but also sells a couple under their own name; a
list of establishments serving their brews is available. Besides the tasting and tours, you can purchase their beers and Iron Fireman Root Beer in take home "growlers". The Old Toad often has their beers on tap in both keg and cask form.
Each fall they have their
Autumn Festival of Ales which brings together representatives from the many establishments that serve their beers for a big party in Honeoye Falls. You can taste the different beers, participate as a judge in their chili contest (proceeds go to Mercy Flight), eat food from various vendors and listen to music. In 2005 it was held on October 1st.
On April 27, 2008 Customer BrewCrafters moved out of their facility on Paper Mill Street and moved to their new location at 300 Village Square Blvd. They reopened for business, at their new location, on April 28, 2008 and started giving tours on May 17th, 2008

Brew Reviews
Christmas Ale
-
Surprisingly delicious. Discovered at Perinton Wegmans. Suitable choice of drink for enhancing: conversations with ex girlfriends, family gatherings, and time spent alone with the internet. Makes colors brighter and sadness more tolerable. Tastes like the holidays always should have. I could take any of you right now. Sadly this drink is only available during the Christmas season. Stock up. Goes perfectly with Oreo Cookies. Verdict: 8/10 - RobertPolyn
English Pale Ale
19th Hole Ale
Double Dark Cream Porter
A rich, smooth and almost chocolate-flavored brew, this porter is a great addition to any appetizer, entree or dessert. An Ant Hill favorite, thanks to RobertPolyn it has been our favorite way to unwind after a long day of cooperating. Indeed, we've been reduced to buying separate growlers for our greedy selves. - RossHattori
