There are many waterfalls along the length of the river, the falls in Rochester are the only reason this miserable town exists. Some unfortunate souls decides to stop here on the way to somewhere better and figured they could make some money grinding things into flour. Then they built the Eastman Kodak Company to dump chemicals into the river which then flowed into the Lake!<br> - <br> - The Genesee River freezes over in the winter, which makes it more interesting than most rivers.
