2008-07-12 00:39:08 This place is awful!! rude, slow, bad food. I actually witnessed the manager having a verbal insult argument with customers. How rude. I had a fried seafood platter: the scallops were rock hard dehydrated. i think they were old to start with. i showed the waitress and explained they sould be moist not dried out like straw ( i am not exagerating!) she did nothing. did not take back to kitchen, did not offer up anything or even Sorry. geez. the one time i ate breakfast there it was overpriced and cold. And i could not even get a refill on coffee. I gave up on that place and I never recommend it to anyone. —jennymarch
2008-07-16 20:26:53 This place is an overpriced filthy establishment with incompetent servers and host/management that does not follow up on problems. I do not recommend going here. —Sandra
2008-07-20 17:06:03 Why I love East Ridge Family Restaurant:
- it's always open
- it's close
- it's not Denny's
- if I want mayo for my fries, they give me a huge saucer full, and not the little plastic cup
- it's well-lit and clean
- serves good breakfast and diner coffee (wouldn't ever order seafood or anything I couldn't cook myself)
- it's not Denny's —ZachSmalt
2008-07-23 10:01:33 While East Ridge Family Restaurant is, well, a diner, I've always had good luck here. I've found the prices to be very reasonable, the service to be fairly good, and the food isn't bad. As the last poster mentioned, it certainly beats the heck out of 24 hour options like Denny's. —BrettDaly
2009-03-15 08:43:24 Stopped in here Saturday morning for breakfast. MISTAKE. The food was remarkably bad - incredibly bland and no seasoning whatsoever. We left about 2/3 of our food unfinished and when the waitress finally deemed appropriate to come over and check on us, we expressed our dissatisfaction. She 'got the owner' (who never came over), came back and said 'Since you've already eaten some of it, we have to charge you full price.' REALLY, East Ridge Restaurant? REALLY? —GreenBrenana
2009-03-16 22:06:51 My daughter and I had breakfast at East Ridge Family Restaurant this past weekend. The trip was memorable because it goes down in my book as one of the TEN WORST MEALS of my life. The food was tasteless—cardboard might be better and when we complained, the waitress did not offer us a replacement but simply said that the "owner" said if we had eaten any of our meal that they couldn't reimburse us the cost. What the hell—how can you know food is bad until you "taste" it. I don't know how they do it—but what we had was pretty disgusting. With food like this, there is no reason to ever return. —jules1414
2009-07-30 23:44:19 Ok, so I usually like this place because it is open, on my way home and has a full late night menu. Typically I order something for pick up around midnight because that's when I get out of work. Now when I call to place an order, some friggin' d-bag answers and very rudely tells me that they cannot help me. Now, I had been doing this at least once a week for several months, but this R-tard lost himself a customer by having the worst (returning) customer service I have ever seen. Screw these jerks. —Doozer
