The EcoHouse is a sustainability-themed cooperative house run by the Minowin Environmental Coop and located on Genesee Street. These are the people who are currently living at the Ecohouse.
Established in 2003, the EcoHouse is a well-known organization in the University of Rochester community, hosting renowned pot-lucks and theme parties—including the internationally (by our friends studying abroad) known "Occupational Funk Party" on Halloween. They host neighborhood 19th Ward pot-lucks about once a month.
They cook dinners regularly, and try to eat together as much as possible. They welcome guests and encourage anyone interested to get in contact with them and come find out what they are about. Email [mjaros@u.rochester.edu] to get in touch with the house, to visit or ask questions.
EcoHouse is currently looking for new members for the 2013-14 school year.
