E85 is an alcohol-gasoline mixture that is slowly growing in acceptance. Two Mobil stations in Rochester currently (March 2008) dispense it.
The Democrat & Chronicle ran a story on March 12, 2008 that mentions both stations. The first to open was the Twelve Corners Mobil. It mentions that between the two stations, over 1000 gallons a day are sold.
YNN (formerly Rnews) ran a story on February 21, 2008 that talks about Gil Tegg's Mobil Mart on Brooks Avenue. Of particular note is the source of its E85, Western New York Energy in Orleans County.
