Gregory Street

Gregory Street is nestled in the heart of the South Wedge. Its intersection with South Avenue is the center of the Wedge's commercial district and contains several small shops. Many nights the German House books regional and national talent in their hall. Look for the "odd fellows" peering out the old fire hall door. Catch some comedy, learn to dance, go to church - man we've got it all! Bent on reviving this historic area for the hip to prowl, neighbors work hard to make the community click - South & Gregory also hosts such annual festivals as It's a Wonderful Life in the South Wedge and Night of the Living Wedge.

Though very much considered a South Wedge street, note that Gregory between South Avenue and South Clinton forms the northernmost border of the Highland Park Neighborhood. Turning right will take you to another popular commercial district where South Clinton becomes the border of the Highland Park Neighborhood and Swillburg.
