A shortened form of "Higher Education Web Professionals."
HighEdWeb is an organization of Web professionals working at institutions of higher education. They design, develop, manage and map the futures of higher education Web sites.
Established in November of 1999 among scores of colleges and universities in New York State, their annual conference now includes national and international attendees and presenters. (Source: HighEdWeb)
The 2006 conference was held October 22 - 25 and the keynote was provided by an Assistant Webmaster from Google.
Prior conferences were held at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
