See Gone, But Not Forgotten

The name is a corruption of the French phrase which means "the good life." In proper French, since vie (life) is feminine, both the article "the" and the adjective "good" should be feminine instead of masculine. Those who have visited the restaurant assert that the incorrect grammar in their name is not a reflection of their business practices or food quality.

It opened in early July 2010.
It closed in April 2012.

2010-11-03 22:15:52   Went to Le Bon Vie recently with friends. Overall, a good experience. Warm, cozy dining room, nice atmosphere, although a little bright. We started at the bar, no liquor, only beer and wine. Small and unimpressive wine list. I would have thought since there is no liquor they would put some thought into what is available, not the case. Things got much better in the dining room. I was expecting to see more of a French influence considering the name, but whatever, no big deal. Excellent salads. I had the beef tournedos for an entree. They came out med-rare as I had ordered and were super tender. Obviously a quality cut of meat. The one other entree I tried a few bites of was the salmon. Also very well prepared, not overcooked like you get at so many places. And it tasted very fresh. I'd be shocked if they were using frozen salmon. My only complaint on the entree's was the snap peas that came with my tournedos were slightly overcooked, they should have a little snap or crunch to them. These were a bit mushy. Chocolate dessert was very good, tiramisu was so so. The good far outweighed the bad, I'd def go back —DrKennethNoisewater
