Named after Vietnamese word for [WWW]Madam, a midscale and well respected Vietnamese/Thai inspired restaurant. Original restaurant on University has now closed.

2006-04-20 13:53:37   As of mid-April 2006 it was still open, for weekday lunch only. When it finally closes we will lose the Thai Sour Shrimp Soup and Thai Sour Curry, neither of which is served at the Monroe Ave. location. —MarkJackson

2006-07-28 21:13:11   The rice dishes have a lot of tangy/spicy sauces to choose from. The fried onion topping is great. —BenMargolis

2006-08-31 12:38:04   I am addicted to their Spicy Coconut Soup, but I won't touch much else on the menu. The prices are a bit too high and I would prefer more tradition food. —EllenKelsey

2007-03-22 12:29:35   Love it! The food comes out extremely quickly, and I've never been disappointed by it. For the most part, the menu consists of noodle and rice dishes with various sauces, and you can choose beef, chicken, seafood, tofu, or a few other things. The full menu is up on the website. —RachelBlumenthal

2007-03-22 15:07:33   Why is it so dark in there? I'd like to be able to see the food- which I enjoy. Also, annoying that they give you a pretty meager portion of rice and then charge extra when you ask for more to finish up your curry. —EricLarsson

2007-03-22 17:31:37   The University Ave location was far better, even despite the Monroe's Ave trndy atmosphere. —RichardSarkis

2007-04-08 21:57:03   why upscale when you can't even be comfortable in your clothes to eat comfortably? you can spend less than $10 bucks and come out EXTRA FULL at Pho Duong Dong on Otis Street.. I definitely recommend Pho Dong Dong if you want what Vietnamese food really tastes like! —HuongTran

2007-06-27 14:40:59   The food was OK, but the service was horrible. I was on the one on Monroe Avenue. My father just had heart surgery, and we wanted to make sure what he was about to eat was what his doctor would approve of. When we asked a few questions, the manager started getting angry and threw a few f-bombs around. We left, and the next day called to complain. She went off again, and when we hung up, she *66ed back and started harassing us. DO NOT GO. —DaveMilitello

2007-07-19 09:11:35   I been here about a dozen times and I've always had good service. It has one of the fastest speeds of service that I have ever experienced, and the servers are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The sauces are what make the dishes different and amazing. There is also a cool atmosphere with interesting metalwork. —BenMargolis

2008-03-07 16:06:03   Nice place, great food. Reasonably priced. The owner is a sweetheart. —SaRoyal

2008-03-21 17:47:23   I've heard some horror stories about the one of the managers/owners cursing people out and generally being incredibly rude. I wouldn't step a foot inside the restaurant just for that reason. —CatMagro

2008-05-18 14:40:24   Love the mango salad with chicken, and all the daily specials. Also, love Mama .... she's a very warm person. —SteveFont

2008-07-02 11:20:03   A great place. The decor is nice, clean, and modern looking, and the food is excellent. They have the best coconut shrimp in town, and the basil-fried rice with shrimp is fantastic. It is a bit on the pricy side, though. —AFrye
