There has been public investment in the sidewalk improvements at the Monroe-Boardman-Wilmer intersection and private investment in the former Genesee Hospital site, now known as Alexander Park, new townhomes on Union Street at Lafayette Park, and the anticipated new Rite Aid, and associated restoration of the front portion of the historic Monroe Theater, at the corner of Monroe and Goodman.
