3-3-2013 - A recent email sent around the neighborhood reported that the market will not be operating for the 2013 season.

The Monroe Village Farmers’ Market is a Farmers' Market sponsored by the Monroe Village Task Force. It is held in the parking lot of the [WWW]Church of the Blessed Sacrament. In addition to being a community meeting place, the market provides fresh, affordable, local produce while supporting local farmers.

Located in the Monroe Village, this market is ideal for neighbors from the immediate Monroe Village as well as neighbors from Upper Monroe, Park Avenue, Neighborhood of the Arts and even suburban commuters traveling on Monroe Avenue. In addition to the great local food, you will find local musicians and artisans helping create a vibrant atmosphere.

With a focus on local producers, the market is managed independently by the Monroe Village Task Force and volunteers from the Blessed Sacrament Church. All products sold at the Monroe Village Farmers Market must be produced within a 100 mile radius of Rochester.

The market is all volunteer run so please contact them if you are interested in getting involved.
