Morton is a hamlet that straddles the border of Monroe County and Orleans County. It starts at the lake shore and runs south roughly to Route 104. Morton takes up parts of Kendall and Hamlin. Roughly from Norway Rd in Kendall to Redman Road in Hamlin. The only things denoting Morton are a post office, a church, and a fire district. In Orleans County, Morton was originally "East Kendall" and "Clarks Corners".
