2008-07-06 14:02:20   Stopped on a whim and had a very enjoyable dinner here! A very pleasant, relaxed environment where there isn't the pressure of getting rid of you so that the next folks can take over your table. The Philly Steak sandwich was delicious, and I left quite satisfied. Good prices, too. I'd give it a try again when I'm in that neck of the woods. —LincolnComet

2008-07-30 19:02:59   Not as bad as most say. You'll get better food at Highland Diner or South Wedge Diner, but you can def. get a tasty meal at Mt. Hope Diner, and you'll get it for a much better price. Plus, service at Mt. Hope is fast and courteous. —JohnHavard

2008-09-03 02:11:21   I agree with JohnHavard, I was surprised to read all this bashing. I like their reuben, or the chicken caesar club. Breakfast isn't Highland Diner, but its still a good breakfast...though the bagels are way too small and yes, I've had better pancakes. Sure are a lot of diner aficionados in this city. —WillChesebro

2009-02-28 20:27:51   I used to eat at Mt. Hope Diner often and what had me coming back was the club sandwiches and omelettes. Unfortunately the wait staff is SERIOUSLY hit or miss. If you get one of the older ladies you are fine but if you get one of the young girls (with the exception of the owners daughter(s)) you are shit out of luck. Twice I have gotten stuck with the same woman and she has got to take the cake as the most inattentive waitress ever, she literally told us she forgot we were still there when there were more wait staff than customers. I think I will be taking a mt hope hiatus. Lets hope they weed out the riff raff in the staff in the meantime. —WindyPig
