Mumford

Mumford is a hamlet located in the town of Wheatland, NY. It is the location of the Genesee Country Village and Museum, an historic exhibit of late 19th Century Western New York. The community was originally called Mackenzies Corners, but changed its name to Mumfordsville after one of later citizens. Mumford is near the south town line in the western part of the town on Route 36.
