Park Ave banner. Photo by Rachel Blumenthal (April 2007) Park Avenue is a small yet lively tributary that runs west-to-east starting at Alexander Street going through Colby St where it then takes a quick sharp turn and meets with East Ave (note that East and Park actually run parallel). The area along and around Park Avenue has been dubbed the Park Ave Area and is one of Rochester's best-known neighborhoods.
From Alexander to Culver you’ll find an eclectic mix of residential and commercial properties but from Culver and on it’s mostly quiet and residential with the exclusion of a corner market at Colby St. Park Ave is home to many locally owned businesses including great coffee shops and pubs but rather than list everything here, I recommend checking out the Park Ave Merchants Assoc where you will find out about many of the businesses, people and culture that make up the surrounding Park Ave area. There is also information about happenings such as the Park Avenue Summer Art Festival. Some other notable roads Park intersects with are Meigs Street, South Goodman Street and Oxford Street.
