Progressive Democrats of Genesee Valley is a local chapter of Progressive Democrats of America (PDA). PDA was founded in 2004 to transform the Democratic Party and our country. “[PDA] seeks to build a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites — with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests."
Join us in forming a progressive coalition within the Democratic Party. Serving the 28th and 29th Congressional Districts of New York, Progressive Democrats of Genesee Valley is working to expand the Democratic Party by promoting progressive ideals and creating a voice for progressive solutions within the Party. As an activist network in the Greater Rochester, New York area for progressive causes, we are dedicated to reaching out to progressives within and without the Party to promote:
-
Government that works for people
-
Sustainable policies
-
Campaign reform
-
Peaceful solutions
We want a Democratic Party that stands for peace, fair trade, universal health care, clean elections, a clean environment and economic justice.
“PDA strives to rebuild the Democratic Party from the bottom up – from every Congressional District, to statewide party structures, to the corridors of power in Washington – where we work arm in arm with the Congressional Progressive Caucus. [Its] inside/outside strategy is guided by the belief that a lasting majority will require a revitalized Democratic Party built on firm progressive principles.”We are an affiliated chapter of Progressive Democrats of America
