The Rochester Rattlers, AKA Rattlers, are Rochester's professional outdoor lacrosse team. The team plays in
Major League Lacrosse, which was founded in 1999.
In 2008, the team won the Major League Lacrosse championship. However the team moved to Toronto and became the
Nationals on February 20, 2009. The history, colors, and name of the Rattlers franchise remained in Rochester so that they could be used for a future MLL team. On November 23, 2010, the Chicago Machine officially announced they would move to Rochester and resume play in 2011 under the Rochester Rattlers name; they finished their first season in last place with a 2-10 record.
The team's head coach is Tim Soudan and the team owner is Rob Clark.

2012-07-21 08:18:19 I am enjoying watching the Rattlers games. I even went to one game in person. It is good field lacrosse for sure. The price of the game was reasonable. —bonnev659
