2007-11-25 16:54:16 Brian!!!! NO!!! This cannot be you; I'm thrilled to see you on RocWiki! My dissertation, sigh, I'm embroiled in the throes of writing it, but it's becoming an interesting project now that I have just basically let go of the idea that I'll meet some arbitrary deadline with it. So I now am spending hours and hours on it and hope to get it done before the end of the year so I can get the committee review process started in earnest. How are you??? Thanks for writing! 2008-06-10 12:29:31 It would also be proper to point out that, depending on the time of day you visit Nino's, there's a few nice parks in the vicinity that you can go enjoy your pie at. While they do have seating, it gets very warm in a pizza store in the summer. —LanceReed
2008-06-10 12:31:29 Thanks Lance. —RxScabin
2008-06-10 14:31:45 It's true! It was a sauna in there yesterday. Some folks picked up their food and went and sat in a shady spot on the block while they ate. —KimBee
2010-07-27 17:01:46 In response to your question about vegetarian dim sum: it might be risky. I have only been there once so maybe I am not the best judge. However, the dim sum items do not have any descriptions - it's just a page with titles, so you have to ask what is in the dim sums. After the waiter informed me that BBS = Black Bean Sauce, I ordered "Eggplant with BBS." I assumed that it would be vegetarian, but was surprised that it contained large shrimps. Also I ordered a dish of sauteed greens, but they came in an oyster sauce. Hope this helps. —AJH

2011-11-18 08:43:08 Hi, Brian: how you doing? Just wanted to let you know that we tried a pizzeria you recommended: Nino's on Culver Rd. Good stuff! Thanks as always for posting your reviews. Katie —KatieSchmitz
2012-02-29 22:00:07 @RxScabin... thanks for posting the comment about tōcōti chocolate! We think it's just plain *wrong* that you didn't get to try any though! Email us at info@tocoti.com and we'll see what we can do about getting you a sample. :) —Montondo
2012-07-25 06:40:12 Brian, no, I haven't tried Bombay Chaat, but I will now after reading the reviews! I did eat at Sodam (Korean) a year or so ago in that same industrial development, and their food was very good, made the vegetarians happy. Thanks for the note. How's Geneseo treating you? —KatieSchmitz
2012-08-03 09:08:17 Thanks, Brian. Are you on Facebook? I don't usually have "local" friends, but we never see each other, and it could be a good way to stay connected. —KatieSchmitz
2012-08-04 18:37:59 Not finding you as RX Scabin on FB: try me? —KatieSchmitz
2013-09-08 20:06:46 Thanks for the Bombay Chaat tips! Unfortunately I don't work in the area near there any more so not so convenient for take out these days, but perhaps will make a trip in that direction some day soon. :-) —ajh
