Samuel George Andrews was Rochester's seventh and twenty-second mayor.
The first time he was mayor, he was elected in 1839, and was preceeded by Thomas Hart Rochester. He served as mayor until 1840, when he was succeeded by Elijah F. Smith.
His second term as mayor was from 1856 to 1857.
Andrews School No. 9 was named in his honor. It was demolished in 1976.
