2008-02-26 10:17:33   This has become a regular favorite for me. The room tends to be cool and a little dim, but the owner is putting a lot of work into the decor and image (new name, logo, menu, etc.) The service is a little slow, but still sufficient for a lunchtime run. I find the dishes to be the freshest and most satisfying Korean in the area - they have a home-cooked feel. Some of those listed as spicy are genuinely spicy, which I appreciate. This is a solid choice for an enjoyable, affordable and tasty meal. —MantraSix

2008-08-12 10:46:34   PROS: The owner was kind to me as I am a Korean customer, but also very kind to my non-Korean friends as well, although she has bad days sometimes. Considering my own experience with Korean restaurants not in NY, this restaurant is a good effort at offering Korean food to Rochester folks. Unfortunately it doesn't do for myself, but if you want more popularized Korean food, come to Sodum (not Sodam). This is the only Korean restaurant in America that I've ever been to that does not offer more panchan variety.

CONS: Small dining area. Expensive price on menu...but then again there isn't much Korean restaurant competition compared to NYC and DC. —JenC

2009-08-15 18:05:50   A GREAT restaurant. I have been here twice, both times finding the service to be cheerful and very helpful (I'm a vegetarian and they will happily make almost any dish fit my needs). Once, I went on the 4th of July and they were going to close early for a banquet, but insisted that my party come in to eat! Furthermore, the food is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the Kim Chi Hotpot (I get mine with tofu). Don't let the exterior scare you- it's a great restaurant! —Kyara

2009-10-17 19:18:38   Stopped in here today for a quick pre-movie bite to eat. It was a cold and rainy fall day and I had a serious craving for some hot savory spicy Korean stew. I have to say they've really come a long way with the decor since I was last there over a year ago. It looks really nice in there now. The banchan was so-so, no complaints there. I ordered a spicy seafood stew, I don't recall the name, but it was outstanding and really hit the spot. A savory rich broth full of red pepper and sesame oil full of scallions, mussels, octopus or squid, shrimp, and noodles. It totally lived up to my expectations. —AlexD1234
