The South Wedge Mission is an [WWW]emergent church community based at the church formerly known as the Lutheran Church of Peace on Caroline St. and Mt. Vernon in the South Wedge. Sponsored by the [WWW]Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in partnership with the [WWW]Episcopal Diocese of Rochester and led by Pastor Matthew Nickoloff, the South Wedge Mission is trying to "bake a church from scratch," and be a church of all people, by all people, and for all people: Lutheran, Christian, or otherwise.

The motley crew that makes up SWM believe that any good church should be active in the community, and so they're liable to be out and about, or opening up the church building and inviting neighbors in for shows and events! Check out their [WWW]Facebook page for up-to-the-minute information!

SWM operates a free store, usually open and accepting donations Wednesdays 10:30am-Noon and 4:30-6:30pm.
