About
Spin Caffe opened on Park Avenue in 2000, shortly before Spot Coffee opened in the East End. As one of the first cafés in town to offer Free Wi-Fi, and with a mix of friendly people, magazines and newspapers lying around, comfy armchairs, and plentiful seating, especially during summer with sidewalk seating, popularity and success lead to two additional locations, one in High Falls and another at Four Corners.

Spin's Park Ave location is good place to grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat and then head out for a walk along the avenue. Park Ave is filled with shops and curiosities that can't be missed. Walk indeed, because finding parking near the Park Ave location sometimes takes patience.
If you're not up to walking try sitting at the front window-counter. Watching people walk by during the summer is fun and watching the snow fall in the winter is just as great.

2007-10-08 15:08:58 In a great location, but the coffee tastes funky. —FirstLast
2007-10-23 09:22:03 (Park Ave location) I went here on 10/20/07 and the WiFi worked well. I had some raspberry-chocolate pastry thing that was awesome, too. I do wish it was a little bigger inside, but oh well. —BadFish
2007-12-29 15:43:36 We've always felt their coffee was just "ok" and today tried them for lunch, kinda disappointing, We ordered paninis but got them on what looked like sub bread, many other better choices in this area. —DottieHoffmann
2008-01-02 23:46:52 Sometimes the coffee is amazing and other times it tastes as if it's been sitting for a while. Best to ask how fresh the brew is. I love their Jamaican Me Nuts flavored and the Costa Rican is wonderful. Fantastic desserts. —RochesterRed
2008-02-17 11:33:17 Park Ave Location - So my husband and I have gone here about three times now, and each time our hot coffee drinks have not blown us away. However, one time my husband got the Mocha Frapp and that was really good. Still, free WiFi, nice atmosphere, friendly workers...I'll go there again, for sure. —DianaRodz
2008-02-26 13:27:43 Great place to people watch during the summer. The people working here are always super nice and friendly. They even brought a special type of tea onto the menu after several requests. The coffee is amazing and super caffeinated, my favorite being the Jamaican flavor. Never tried their fancier drinks or food though but worth checking out for sure. Also noteworthy is their fully stocked dessert case which is soo tempting every time I visit. If you have trouble finding it, it's right near the part of Park Ave where Jines and Chester Cab are. —JaimeTe
2008-03-20 12:17:04 Mill St. Location — the women here make the best cappuccinos in the city! —ErinDwyer
2008-07-19 20:28:20 This place makes the only good latte in town. No one else is trained, or cares, or has ever had one before apparently. They used to use Caffe Vita coffee out of Seattle, which is amazing, and now roast their own and it's pretty darn good. I really only go to the Park Ave location and my latte is perfect probably 90% of the time. The only thing they occasionally get wrong is the temperature, but otherwise it's always great. Skip Starbucks.. skip Spot... skip Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters if you're interested in a great coffee experience. —DavidGottfried
2009-03-30 13:27:30 worst red velvet cake i have ever, ever had. 1. Not red. 2. Layers of chocolate frosting?! wtf? 3. regular white buttercream on outside, neither the traditional flour cooked or the common cream cheese frosting 4. Even as a mislabed chocolate cake, it was dry and not chocolaty. I've heard they've again, switched bakeries. Lets hope not for a repeat of this offense. —TheEnigmaFacade
2009-04-04 20:05:19 I've visited 2 of the locations for coffee recently. Their coffee is the richest tasting "regular" coffee I've ever had. And I do drink A LOT of coffee! —CaptainKirk
