The Spirit Room was a southern & soul food inspired downtown restaurant, bar, & literary lounge. Taking its historical spiritualist theme & visual impact from the Fox Sisters, The Spirit Room showcased Rochester's literary culture through dynamic poetry readings, book releases & micro-theater while providing beautiful craft cocktails & food in a unique environment. They had a spirit wall with where patrons can hang pictures of deceased loved ones.

September 17, 2017 was the soft opening featuring Pissi Myles, a well-known drag queen based out of New Jersey. They will also hosted poetry and pie nights. Grand opening was October 1, 2017. The Spirit Room was highlighted by Imbibe magazine.
