SouthWest Trading Co. SoySilk Fashion Show, Saturday, August 29th, 1:00 - 3:00pm. FREE. Kat Cade, General Manager from SWTC will make a Yarne Source stop to present about 30 garments discussing their unique yarns, fibers, & the garments themselves. We model the garments, answer questions, leaving plenty of time to help you put together their own spectacular projects. SOYSILK®, the trademark name for the company's Soy Fiber, is the foundation of their yarns being made from the proteins in Soy, a renewable resource. The fiber is soft like silk yet warm, like cashmere with a gentle drape. Join in the parade of stunning fiber from the SWTC for spinning, knitting, crochet, & weaving.

KNIT WITH CONFIDENCE, WEAR WITH PRIDE Fashion Show, Sunday, September 13th, 1:00pm-3:00pm, Locust Hill Country Club, Pittsford. Co-sponsored with Alpaca Country Clothing and Gifts in Pittsford. Susie Zanni, owner of The Yarne Source, began producing the show in 2006, with the help of her yarn suppliers, local artists, customers, and other local retailers. The event showcases a fabulous parade of knit, crochet, needlefelt, wetfelt, spun, and woven items, along with jewelry and other integrated fiber arts that are so popular today. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door and can be purchased at either The Yarne Source or Alpaca Country.
