2005-05-24 17:37:32   Tip-Top is close to Mt. Hope diner with similar prices, but the food is little better in some cases. However, it does not have the spacious environment and diner-like feel of the Mt. Hope diner. I have not been there too often because I mostly choose Mt. Hope when I have the choice. —VijaySookdeo

2009-04-05 15:24:15   Have gone to Tip Top a couple times in the past month for breakfast with my wife, 2 year old and 9 month old... it's worked out great! OK - it's not the fanciest breakfast place in Rochester, but it's quick, inexpensive, and good. Plus the staff have been very friendly to us. I was wondering what the connection was between this Tip Top and the one on Lake Ave - apparently they were once all owned by the same Greek fellow, but he eventually sold them off to be independent, but they each were allowed to keep the name. I had hash and poached eggs the other day and they were good, though the hash was light on the meat. My wife had a very tasty omelet, and my daughter had 1 scrambled egg and two silver dollar pancakes that she devoured! —DavidGottfried
