Uncle Plum is a local band that is one of the most popular alt-rock bands in the area. If you go to events like the East End Night Life Festival, or hang out in the Alexander/East Ave area, you're sure to see them play. The Democrat & Chronicle calls them "Rochester's most popular band." They play a mix of covers and originals, probably a 70-30 ratio, respectively, at most of their shows.

In 2002, Uncle Plum was voted "Best Band" in the 'Best of Greater Rochester' poll in City Newspaper.¹

Uncle Plum was also voted "Best Cover Band" in City Newspaper's Best Of Awards in 2007, and "Best Original Band" in 2009.²³
