The Interfaith Chapel at the University of Rochester is a beautiful building on the River Campus. It sits right next to the Genesee River and directly faces Rush Rhees Library. It comprises three levels - the upper or street level, the middle level, and the river level. The upper level is the main sanctuary where most events are held. The middle level has offices for the leaders of the various religious groups that use the chapel, as well as a conference room, a kitchen, the Meditation Room, and the Commons Room. The river level of the chapel contains another kitchen and a large meeting room.

History

The chapel was built in 1970.
