The University of Rochester Press is the official non-fiction publisher of the University of Rochester. It was founded in 1989 as a collaboration between UR and British academic publisher Boydell & Brewer. Its mission is to publish "books of high intellectual merit that reflect selected strengths of the university and contribute to scholarly dialogue in specific subject areas." All manuscripts are rigorously peer-reviewed.
Its offices are located in a former Ellwanger and Barry building on the Mount Hope Campus.
