2007-04-06 11:44:48 Very nice place. A jazz combo of Eastman students was playing the night I went, and they sounded great. We were all greeted by a guy in suit who introduced himself as our host for the night. I've never encountered that in a club before, and I think it's a nice touch. If you're looking for a classier crowd than the typical bar scene and some really good music, look no further. —RachelBlumenthal
2007-07-10 15:36:44 Food was great, service was TERRIBLE. We had multiple apologies from our server and someone else (a manager perhaps?), but when the bill came, they refused to take anything off of it - even though the place was half empty. For 3 of us to eat and drink the bill was around $130, which we thought was reasonable for what we ordered. —RocGirl
2007-08-31 12:50:42 Venu is a great jazz club and a nice addition to the Rochester bar scene.
If only Liquid and the Liquor Room would close down, Venu would be a bar Id visit more often. Those other 2 bars ruin the neighborhood.
The owners are 3 dynamic young guys and deserve all of Rochester's support to make this venture work. —MrRochester
