2010-09-10 11:55:12   Had dinner here last night, and would definitely recommend to others. The menu changes daily, but we split two appetizers (calamari and foie gras) and had the guinea hen and poached lobster for entrees. It was a real treat to hear that their creative variety of desserts were made in house. We hadn't planned on having dessert, but tried "The Candy Bar" and weren't disappointed. Portions are appropriately sized, and creatively plated. Only minor complaint was that the location is within the Constellation HQ building, and the decor doesn't quite hide the fact that you are dining in an office building. We spoke with the manager at the end of the evening, and he mentioned that if you'd like to experience a tasting menu prepared by the chef (3, 5, 7, or 9 courses), just let them know that that when you make a recommendation. We'll definitely return to try that! —JBeez

2011-02-17 11:06:27   Went to Warfields last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with the pork belly and crab pasta appetizers. They were very creative and beautifully presented. For main entrees, my husband had the butter-poached lobster with almond milk. Oftentimes butter poached lobster can be bland or stringy, but this was perfectly prepared. I had the halibut which I absolutely adored. I could have eaten an entire bowl of the beet puree it was served with. For dessert, we had the carmelized brioche and the lemon-blueberry dome. Both were delicious and, as mentioned in other reviews, made in-house. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is certainly not cheap, but if you are looking for an upscale experience that is a little more forward-thinking in terms of its menu, this is a great choice. —KatyHanson

2011-06-02 16:27:39   Rochester has a new #1 upscale restaurant. I was there with a group and we had the 5 course chef's menu. Soft shell crab tempura with the squid ink congee was incredible, soft shell crab wouldn't be my usual choice but the tempura style made it a great experience. The smoked salmon was also excellent, with small rice crisps bringing some bite and crunch to the dish..... I could go on... pork belly....angus stip that melted...... The service was also excellent and attentive (at least six times fresh bread was delivered for us, they recognized a table full of big hungry guys). Location... as someone said it does feel a little like being in an office building, but no better or worse than Max's at Eastman. My only question is "when can I go back!!" —sieats

2011-11-04 08:55:14   We returned again last night and had the 7 course tasting menu. Once again, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Each course is prepared with such care with a focus on seasonality and local resources. It is a great addition to the Rochester restaurant scene, particularly for foodies. I am a little concerned about this place though as we were the only ones in the restaurant for the whole two hours we were there. We need to spread the word about this place! —KatyHanson

2012-03-27 18:42:06   Hands-down the best restaurant in the city. It really is in a class by itself, above Good Luck, Lento, 2Vine, Rooney's etc. The best part is because it is out of the way it usually isn't busy. If you want to see what fine dining is actually like come here. Seriously I can't recommend this place enough —jonramz
