Water Front Food

We have many restaurants on the canal, lake, river, bay, and falls. Let's expand this section so people know where to head for a nice water front view!

Charlotte

• California Rollin' has a location inside the building formerly used to dock the Fast Ferry. Several tables have views of the lake.
  

• Pelican's Nest Restaurant is a casual restaurant/bar on the Genesee River and they often feature live music.

Downtown

• Siam overlooks the Genesee River downtown. Thai food.
  

• Triphammer Grill overlooks High Falls downtown. Semi-upscale. A scenic and romantic place to take a date.
  

• Virtu overlooks the Genesee River downtown. Semi-upscale and trendy.

Greece

• Crescent Beach is an upscale restaurant with a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario. Known for their spectacular holiday light display and one of the better lobster bisques available in the Rochester area. A nice place to take a date.

Hilton

• Mary Beth's the Bay Bar & Grill is a very casual bar/restaurant at a marina right on Braddock Bay which leads to Lake Ontario. The food is very good, from burgers and wings to Chicken French and other dinners. There is a boat launch, and docks for transient boater's to pull up and eat.

Irondequoit

• Marge's Lakeside Inn is a Jimmy Buffet-style townie bar set directly on the beach. If you've been a fan of Bullwinkle's, you'll appreciate the kitsch and local appeal of this friendly bar. The backyard of the bar opens up right to the water, so you can take your drink outdoors and enjoy a sunset on the sand. No food served, but offers free popcorn. Across from several burger joints and you can bring your takeout onto the beach bar.
  

• Schooner's is located within the Shumway Marina and overlooks the Genesee River.
  

• Silk O'Loughlin's" is a restaurant and bar on the Genesee River. Typical bar fare, but some specials. A popular summer destination with nice views of the bay. You can bring your boat directly to the bar and dock it before eating.

Penfield

• The Bazil location in Penfield overlooks the Bay and has an outdoor patio.
  

• Lasalle Steak & Crab over looks Irondequoit Bay.

Pittsford

• Aladdin's Natural Eatery has a lovely location overlooking the Erie Canal. Lots of outdoor seating.
  

• Richardson's Canal House is a fine dining establishment located in Bushnell's Basin in Pittsford. They offer romantic, park-like outdoor seating along the canal.

Webster

• Castaways On the Lake in Webster is a seafood restaurant with outside seating right on the water. Dock for boats on the bay side.
  

• Bayside Pub in Webster bar/restaurant right on Irondequoit Bay. You can dock your boat right out front. Every Wed night is BBQ night but get there early! They offer a full menu of sandwiches and salads and of course BBQ. Live bands on Sat nights.

Finger Lakes

• The Beachcomber is a restaurant located on Conesus Lake. They have an upscale type restaurant indoors and a grill and bar outside. They have a dock so you can boat over for dinner/drinks, and feature live music.
  

• Belhurst Castle, located on Seneca Lake, offers waterview dining opportunities as well as wine tasting.
  

• Halsey's of Geneva is also within sight of Seneca Lake in the city of Geneva, and features one of the largest selections of regional wines in the area.
  

• New York Wine & Culinary Center is located on Canandaigua Lake. They have a restaurant as well as wine tasting and culinary classes.
  

• The Stonecat Cafe - Hector, NY southeast shore of Seneca Lake
