Summer The weather in Rochester is a special beast controlled by variances in the Jet Stream, cold from Canada, heat blown up from down south, nasty weather up from the Ohio Valley, and cold weather across from Michigan (:>}

Myths, Opinions, Complaints...

Rumor has it that the University of Rochester president has a weather machine that gives us nasty weather throughout the school year, except, of course, on weekends when lots of parents and prospective students are visiting. This year was pretty mild because the new president hasn't learned how to operate the machine yet.

The same story was told at Rochester Institute of Technology. President Simone kept the weather harsh for students, while President Destler either didn't know how to use the machine or was much nicer.
