Youth As Resources (YAR) is a youth philanthropy program that is run out of the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau and is funded through the county and the Rochester Area Community Foundation. A board consisting of youth and adults offer grants during 2 cycles every year to fund projects that target social problems, address community improvement, and significanly contribute to participant's involvement in their neighborhood. Grants of up to $1000 are awarded to groups that are run by youth, address a social need, and are cost effective.
