It was annoying that it took an hour and a half for us to get our food but I understand it was New Years Eve and very busy so I didn't let it bother me. The disappointment was when the food arrived, my friend and I got the Surf and Turf which the waiter told us was a lobster tail and 10 oz filet for $58. When it came it was a filet that had obviously been cooked, then it was cut in half down the middle and was 5 oz and it was overcooked. I asked the waiter about it being 10 oz and he told me it was and then said that it was only supposed to be 5 oz when he had previously said it was 10 oz. My friend and I sent our filets back and they came back medium rare and also very bland. I expressed my disappointment to the waiter as I would never order a $58 surf and turf with a 5 oz filet, my friend spoke with a manager who said he would see what he could do, the manager never came back so my friend went over to talk with him and the owner. The owner got extremely defensive telling my friend that he has no right to tell him how to operate his restaurant and said he wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation, he was very aggressive and it was obvious to me that he has no regard for his customers who aren't his friends. After the exchange the owner sat down at a table and appeared to talk about us with his friends who all turned around to look at our table. I was hoping that the restaurant would make a miscommunication right but we were treated like second rate customers. I feel like I was deceived intentionally or accidentally and I just wanted them to make it right but because of the owners awful response I will never be going back to 2Vine and will actively suggest that people avoid this restaurant. It is a shame because I have enjoyed it in the past. --["Users/markrizz"]

My wife got the Mahi Mahi and I split the Cote de Boeuf with my brother. Top notch food, service was decent, the wine selection was disappointing but not terrible. Who would ask such a thing???? I was very disappointed to say the least and would never go back. Also, it was very noisy, something should be done about the acoustics. You definitely go for a fine dining experience, not cheap eats. The prices seem competitively priced with other high-end Rochester eateries. The restaurant's use of seasonal and local ingredients in their specials is excellent but if you are looking for an ever-changing menu look elsewhere. "You know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to keep the reservation, and that's really the most important part of the reservation." Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The staff didn't seem to care that we were leaving nor that they were irresponsible in how they treated us and many other patrons who sat around waiting for long periods of time. Despite these frustrations, the food was delicious and we got to hear the opera-singing waiter serenade the table next to us. Based on the quality of the food, I'd go back, but I would definitely try to go on a less busy night.
