44 Exchange Street is a 5 story, 65,000 square foot building, built in 1964 which formally housed the Central Trust Company headquarters. The building has been converted into 29 condominiums on the upper floors with the first floor leased as commercial space. Renovations started in the winter of 2011 and tenants started to move in by September 2012. The building is next to the Aqueduct Building on the corner of Broad Street and Exchange Street.

2011-04-06 18:28:13 I can't express how happy I am to see something, anything, being done to this downtown eyesore. Hopefully, the exterior gets an upgrade, too. Soviet-style architecture doesn't fit well in our historic Center City. —BatGuano
