ALDI is a chain grocery store that is the European alternative to club pricing without having to buy a 6 month supply of whatever.
In order to cut costs ALDI does not provide grocery bags (bring your own or purchase in store) and utilizes a quarter system to entice customers to return carts from the parking lot. No credit cards accepted - bring cash, EBT or debit.

2007-05-21 10:06:32 I haven't been to any of the Aldi locations in the Rochester area, but if you need some cheap food, this is the place to go. Albeit don't be surprised if what you buy is a little bit old, at least it's nowhere as bad as the 2yr old boxed food you find at Big Lot's. I was at an Aldi just over the weekend and I was able to get those $.99 cans of Arizona Greet Tea for $.69 —TravisOwens
2008-07-21 09:53:24 Aldi's is good for things like crackers or canned goods, but I'm not sure I quite trust their produce department or most of their meat products. I did rely on shopping there quite a bit when I was in college though, so they definitly have their place. —SaraChristine
2008-08-06 19:51:31 The Aldi store in Henrietta often has very good produce (fresh). The store is always clean and the staff is friendly. Much nicer than Aldi stores in other cities I have lived in. —ShawnaLusk

2012-07-25 07:59:37 I enjoy some of the store brand foods. You can make out big if you get a name brand item for cheap (best used date is close to when you buy it) which I have gotten a few times. I haven't been near one when doing my grocery shopping but I normally buy a few items from them. —bonnev659
