The Alcoa Care-free Home is a historic residence in suburban Brighton. It is one of 24 Alcoa houses built for a demonstration and the only one in New York State. A unique example of the mid-century modern ranch house, the Alcoa Home features end walls made entirely of plate glass framed by aluminum, as well as aluminum-clad wood support columns.
It is still a private home, although the owner has a photo tour on Flickr.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
